Our Mission

A better system
is our right.

An India where getting things done does not require connections.

Where accessing justice does not depend on influence, and asking questions does not require courage.

Where young people’s efforts are respected, public money is accounted for, and institutions listen.

Pramaan is an emerging public movement for truth, accountability and a better system. We investigate issues that affect people, ask questions backed by evidence, and bring citizens together to develop practical solutions.

What we stand for

Account for our own conduct.

Be transparent about funding, spending and conflicts of interest, while respecting applicable law and privacy.

Develop practical solutions.

Explain costs, institutional responsibilities and limitations.

Follow through.

Track action and outcomes after raising an issue.

SIR · Election Commission

About 13 crore names removed from India’s voter rolls. How many were wrong?

Our first file follows the Special Intensive Revision from Bihar to 19 states and UTs: what the Commission was meant to deliver, what it did, what the courts said, and the question no one has answered yet.
